SCHÄXPEER WAS SOLL DAS?

The train is delayed by four minutes - annoying. So many people still go by car – annoying. Spending too much time on your phone - annoying. Too little time on the phone - annoying. And anyway ChatGPT could write everything, faster and no one would notice (NB.: Status – beginning of 2025) - annoying. So as so often we end – with the question: What’s that? Finding an answer to this is comparable with the discovery of the Shangri-La. That is also annoying. So we lose ourselves where we think we are safe - in distraction. Entertainment. An art form as ubiquitous as energy drinks. And yet - when all the nuts and berries have been eaten, our thoughts and ideas keep us going. So it is clear that art is changing the world. The exciting approach is that art doesn't have to change the world at all. It is us people who change. As part of the education programme, SCHÄXpeer is being held for the first time this year. A group of young people have been sought and found. They could not be more different. In conversations, through games and with the security of simply being allowed to be, SCHÄXpeer pursues questions, that lead to thoughts. Finds ideas, where there were only answers. These ideas are implemented – in the form of videos, Social- Media-Content, as a guideline for talks during the Festival. Even with SCHÄXpeer we will not be able to answer what that actually is. But through this group we change and we change each other. And that is not annoying at all.
