Men in Trouble

For the talk show “Men in Trouble”, Reisinger draws from the old television format of so-called “daily-talks”. But the guest deny her too deep of an insight into their private lives, no matter how much the moderator tries to get something out from them. Provocations do no work, classifications such as “different” or “normal” are rejected and diversity is welcomed. Much to the disappointment of the male upper floors and the director, who still try to hold on to the upper hand, as the moderator keeps making clear through sly side remarks, and a male voice from the off continuously notes. Reisinger know how to use the potential of the format “daily talks” and begins the show with a self-confident intro full of zeal, in order to deal with gender roles, and patriarchal structures and power dynamics in a humorous, multi-layered, and critical manner.
