Witches? Evil women with broomsticks, green skin, and a loose tooth? That was yesterday’s news! Today the performance will transport young audiences into a world full of magic. It is here that they will experience the challenges of modern-day magicians: trusting your own individual power and courage in order to shape a world together in which nobody is left behind. “Hexen” is not just a historical approach to the archetype of the witch, but also celebrates the body diversity of the performers, their connection and their fight for justice. And of course all kinds of action and hocus pocus can’t be missing. During every performance the spoken language is translated into Austrian sign language by two translators. This way the piece is also made accessible to deaf people and children who have never been in contact with sign language before will be given the opportunity to get to know it for the first time.
