Simone Neumayr receives recognition award

Actress Simone Neumayr owned the SCHÄXPIR co-production DIE ERSTEN and received the Recognition Award for Performing Arts. Congratulations!

She would have deserved an award for her performance in “Die Ersten – Von den Frauen, die die Welt entdeckten” (SCHÄXPIR premiere in cooperation with Theater des Kindes, written and directed by Henry Mason). But she received it for her whole previous work! In November 2025, Simone Neumayr received the 2025 Recognition Award for Performing Arts for her impressive stage presence and decades of influence on the theater scene.


Upper Austria's governor, Thomas Stelzer, honored her for her outstanding achievements for the cultural scene of Upper Austria and emphasized: “The Performing Arts Award is a strong signal of the importance of theater as a place of social debate and cultural inspiration.” He continued: “Simone Neumayr has been impressing audiences for decades with her strong stage presence and extraordinary understanding of her roles,” said Governor Stelzer. She is definitely one of the most influential actresses in the country.
